We are Class A contractors, and through years of on-the-job experience and classroom training, we have gained the knowledge and expertise not to just sell or service heating or cooking appliances, but to understand how they fit into your home’s various systems. We excel at helping our customers meet their goals—whether it is heating their entire house with wood, zone heating certain rooms, or creating an outdoor kitchen the neighbors will envy.

We have experienced, certified electricians, plumbers, and masons available to ensure the smoothest, safest, and most beautiful installations. And, because we expect it from professionals who visit our own homes, we leave your property as clean, if not cleaner, as when we arrived! We do it properly, the first time, and our installations come with a lifetime warranty.

We don’t stop at technical mastery. Our masons and carpenters are artists, creating unique and beautiful walls, walkways, patios, chimneys, and outdoor fireplaces. View examples of our work below and imagine how your hearth or outdoor room could look.

And our job is not done when the installation is done. We hope to be your partner for years down the road, keeping your wood stove or grill in tip top shape with advice, service and repairs. You will see in our testimonials below that our customers appreciate this level of service!

Testimonials from Our Customers

Joe and Janice

The crew at WoodenSun is fantastic! I have been shopping for a woodstove for 2 years and was frustrated with my lack of answers until I found Wooden Sun. Their sales staff members were patient, and thoroughly explained multiple options that could work for my needs. They made a site visit to my home to help plan the project, but my plan was not approved by my neighborhood's ARB. Subsequently, Jonathan made 2 more visits to my home- quite a way from their store to help me "re-tool" my plan. They made 3 visits to my home before the first dollar was ever exchanged! I'm sure it doesn't normally take 3 site visits to get a project like mine planned, but they patiently stood by me when I hit a "bump in the road" with the ARB. Our stove is now installed and fully functional- wow, we are using it even more than we thought we would. I wish that I'd bought it years ago. Wooden Sun is highly recommended-you won't be disappointed!

Why Heat with Wood

Firewood is a renewable resource, and sustainable harvesting practices allow woodlot owners to balance high yield with long-term growth. Additionally, today’s modern, EPA-rated wood-burning appliances release very few emissions (many under 3 gm/hr) into the atmosphere, making them far cleaner than fossil fuels. Complete combustion of firewood (well-seasoned, and burned in a high-efficiency appliance) produces only carbon dioxide and water (source); this carbon dioxide is the same amount as would be released during the tree’s natural decomposition process, making wood an almost carbon-neutral source of fuel.
